To Improve Nutrition for Children

Malnutrition and poor water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) infrastructure remain a large concern globally. Malnutrition is one of the leading causes of death in low and middle-income countries, and poor WASH infrastructure can exacerbate malnutrition and lead to additional illness or even death. Both hunger and illness impact a child’s ability to learn and reach their full potential; physically, they can’t grow as well, and mentally, they can’t focus well in school and may be more likely to drop out. With the importance of nutrition and WASH, the GRASP Nutrition and WASH team hopes to make healthful lifestyles attainable to more people via activities and interventions aimed at improving nutrition status and WASH infrastructure in tangible ways.
